GelProject sets the logical names and project name in the users’s $HOME/.wp/dirs.conf before starting the project using GelStart..
GelProject is script that used to set the logical name sets the logical names and project name in the $HOME/.wp/dirs.conf before starting the project using GelStart..
This sets Gel project configuration in /users/gcg/.wp/dirs.conf
Gel project configuration sets "TempDisk", "GelCommand",
and "GelData" logical names.
NOTE: Please do not use space while entering Gel project name.

myproject
Added 'TempDisk = /users/gcg/myproject'
to /users/gcg/.wp/dirs.conf
Added 'GelCommand = /users/gcg/myproject'
to /users/gcg/.wp/dirs.conf
Added 'GelData = /users/gcg/myproject'
to /users/gcg/.wp/dirs.conf
You can use geldisplay to print the logical names that are set by gelproject, as given below:

Temp
Disk: /users/gcg/myproject
GelCommand: /users/gcg/myproject
GelData: /users/gcg/myproject
In this example, you would find a new file in your current working directory named myproject. (See the Introduction to the Fragment Assembly System preceding the FAS program entries in the Program Manual for a more complete description of the fragment assembly database.)
GelProject begins a fragment assembly session by setting the logical names necessary before creating a new fragment assembly project or by identifying an existing project with GelStart program.
Please do not use spaces while giving the project name.
